    Very good

The bed was very confortable and the fabrics of good quality. I tried the restaurant and I found both the food and the service to be above average (as are the prices). The location is really excellent, just in front of the Cathedral. Free Wi-Fi works fine.

Breakfast was not included and parking is USD 12.00 per day. Other 3 stars hotels close by offer free parking. I turned to the concierge for a car rental and she was not very useful. In general I found the staff friendly but not well informed/willing to help. There were no towels in the room at the time of my arrival and I had to change the key because it failed in opening the door after one day stay.

    Good

Location, location, location. 100 ft. from the town's square and primary shopping zone. Easy walking distance to Canyon Road galleries.

This is a very old hotel that is really showing its age. Everything about our room, the hallway and elevators needs to be remodeled/upgraded/refurbished. The hotel lobby restaurants and other common areas can get by on their history and "old world charm", but there is no excuse for the condition of the rooms. I think the carpet must have been put in when the hotel was new! Also, the hotel was advertised as "pet friendly". That must not include the guests bring their pets. We have three very-well house-broken small dogs, and the hotel charged us $75/day for the dogs. For a 5-day stay, that amounted to $375. Very excessive.

Great place to stay while in Santa Fe, you get the flavor of the city. Very nice staff, would recomend hotel to friends.

    A/C needs upgrading!

    Exceptional

Beautiful design, fun historic hotel, good pool area for kids, comfortable beds, awesome location.

Good staff, just not very friendly. Most rooms are king beds.. Not very many doubles for families/kids. Told me they had no adjoining rooms but all had doors for adjoining???

    Very good

It is the oldest hotel in Santa Fe and has interesting architecture and atmosphere, right in the centre of town. Our room on the 5th floor had a spacious balcony and a nice view of Loretto Chapel and part of the town. The Bell Tower is an open air bar on the 5th floor where you can view the sunset and some of the surriounding hills. Also there is live music in the bar downstairs most nights. If you can't rent a car for the weekend (the car rental companies were not interested in us), you can reach Taos, the famous artistic town near the ski slopes, by the Taos shuttle bus, only $5 each way -it is about 70 miles north of Santa Fe. If you go for the day you get 4 1/2 hours there, enough time to see some interesting museums and shops, walk to the cemetery where Kit Carson is buried and admire the nearby mountains. The Taos shuttle bus leaves from the Santa Fe train depot, only 10 minutes walk from La Fonda hotel.

It is expensive. The main reason we stayed there is my husband was already there for a conference from Wed. - Fri. So we added 2 nights, Sat. And Sunday. The breakfast service was a little slow sometimes.

    Great location, cool history

Bedroom temperature was extremely hot, even after adjusting thermostat AC to 60 degrees. Also some very loud guests running up and down the hallway kept us up all night. Definitely disappointed with our stay, especially for the cost of one night. Lack of sleep ruined our one night in Santa Fe.

Location! Very easy to go see all the sites by walking! The restaurant was fabulous and the bar had nightly entertainment. The room was very comfortable and quiet!! The roof top bar was a treat! And the art was spectacular, almost like being in a fine museum.

Microwave in room. A late check out would have been nice.

The hotel is wonderful; cross the street to the Plaza. Bands are playing in the plaza all summer but not noisy in the hotel. Great staff. Great shops and food in the hotel. Love this place.

Great hotel in great location in a great city. Amenities were perfect.

I will never use Booked.net again - this is the 2nd time I've supposedly gotten "confirmation" of the booking but the hotel never heard of me! Luckily they had a room on an otherwise extremely busy weekend. Booked.net sucks.

Front Desk asked if we had stayed there before. I said it was our very first time in Santa Fe and I told him we did a road trip from San Antonio. HE went out of his way to make us feel welcomed even sent a bottle of wine "on the house" to our room which got our stay there off to an awesome start! I also loved the artistry in our room (headboards) and the detail put into decor. Flat tv screens were perfect size and our beds extremely comfy!

I would have loved to have been able to dine up on rooftop but apparently only drinks are served. View was amazing from up there. We were hungry so we went back into Restaurant downstairs to enjoy a nice dinner.
